Optical glasses and contact lenses for adults are not covered by basic health insurance (with a few rare exceptions). They may be reimbursed under the supplementary insurance policies of the various companies.

To find out how much you will be reimbursed, contact your insurance company, and ask about your optical benefits.

Single-vision lenses, also known as “monofocal” lenses, correct various visual defects such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, or the onset of presbyopia. These lenses correct either distance or near vision: the correction is identical over the entire surface.

Single-vision lenses are often intended for people under 45 years of age. Your Visilab optician will advise you on the most suitable optical lenses for your correction needs and your daily use.

Varifocal lenses correct near, distance, and intermediate vision at the same time.

These lenses ensure exceptional comfort for sufferers of presbyopia. Your vision is clear both close up and at a distance, without having to change your glasses.

This type of lens is the ultimate all-rounder: ideal for driving or reading the menu at a restaurant while chatting with friends.

Near-vision lenses, also known as depth-of-field or mid-distance lenses, are specifically adapted to correct the near or intermediate vision for those who suffer from presbyopia.

They are ideal for short or medium-distance activities: reading, screen work, consultation, meetings, and conversations...

You can also have sunglasses fitted with prescription lenses.

Choose the sunglasses frame you like, and we will fit corrective solar lenses adapted to your vision, with an optional polarised filter.
